The Naples Players

The Naples Players offers over forty volunteer positions in all aspects of theatrical production-onstage, front of house, backstage and offstage. Our Volunteer Handbook  gives you a more in depth look at what our volunteers do. Volunteer Program Policies provide a comprehensive view of the volunteer program. Previous theatrical training or experience is not required.  Just walk through the doors and audition, or express an interest in one of the 40+ jobs:  to build sets, make costumes, run lights, etc.

Part of the mission of The Naples Players is to provide theatre education.  Every production and each area of the theatre provides on the job training.  The Artistic Director, Technical Director, Resident Costume Designer and Costume Shop Supervisor, Scene Shop Supervisor, Sound and Lighting Designer, and Production Stage Manager, all have the theatrical educations and professional experiences to guide novice volunteers.  Plus, many of our volunteers bring theatrical or related experiences and there is an atmosphere of shared learning.

Classes and workshops are offered to adults and older teens in two terms running September through April.  Class discounts are offered as incentives for membership and as acknowledgment for volunteer contributions of time. Go to the Education link to review current offerings.
